Error #105

This error means that QuickMiner cannot communicate with Excavator. Potential solutions:

  • Reinstalling the GPU drivers. Try different versions. It is confirmed that NVIDIA drivers before 511.xx were causing the issues. Follow this guide to correctly reinstall the GPU drivers.
  • Make sure nothing is blocking QuickMiner or Excavator. It is known that some antivirus software recognizes QuickMiner or some of its components as a false positive. Read how to whitelist QuickMiner in Windows Defender here
  • Check if any other program is using port 18000. This is what Excavator uses to communicate with QuickMiner. Open the QuickMiner config file (nhqm.conf) and change this setting: "watchDogAPIPort" : 18000 to some other port like 18032 for example.
  • Reinstalling QuickMiner.
