The next step in the Kaspa evolution comes with the Kaspa Crescendo hard fork.
The Crescendo fork aims to improve security and increase transaction throughput. The fork will increase the current 1 BPS (block per second) network block processing to 10 BPS, which means that Kaspa will be able to support 10 times more transactions.
Unlike other cryptocurrencies, Kaspa does not base its forks on Block height but instead uses a DAA score (Difficulty Adjustement Algorithm score).
The Crescendo fork date is scheduled to happen at a DAA score of 110.165.000 which is estimated to be on the 5th of May 2025.
