What is a Nexa block halving event?

The halving event is scheduled to happen roughly every 4 years following the Nexa Emission schedule. This lowers the rate at which NEXA coins are generated.  

The initial and current NEXA block reward is 10 million NEXA, after the halving, the block reward will be 5 million NEXA.

This will be the first Nexa halving event.
