Dash reward reduction

Dash, similarly to Bitcoin has a block reward. The block reward is halved in Bitcoin's case, but in Dash's case, the block reward is only reduced by 7.14% every 210240 blocks. Dash block time is 2.5 minutes, this means that on average, block reduction happens every 365 days.

The current block reward is 1.91 Dash. Block reward after reward reduction will be 1.77 Dash.

The previous Dash reduction date was on the 10th of July 2024 and this will be Dash's 10th reduction.

Why was this done?

Dash implements a reward reduction system that decreases miner rewards at certain milestones, with the next reduction scheduled at block 2,102,401. This approach is tailored to Dash's governance and economic model.
