  • Bug fixes and small improvements

How to enable partial LHR Unlock in QuickMiner?

QuickMiner will automatically recognize the LHR graphic card and apply a partial LHR Unlock to it in approximately 20 seconds. A GPU will get locked once when starting the miner, this is expected. No further locks indicate a stable LHR Unlock settings.

You can increase LHR unlock ratio by changing the optimize profile. Note that all GPUs are different, so higher profiles might result in frequent (more than 5 locks per hour) GPU locking. If you experience frequent GPU locking, we suggest lowering the profile or even selecting a Manual profile.

QuickMiner LHR Unlock FAQ

What is the percentage of LHR unlock?
It depends on your GPU. Expect the unlock to achieve around 74% of potential speed. We have noticed that different GPU performances can vary by more than 5% due to the silicon lottery.

Can all GPUs run at the same LHR settings?
No. Because of the silicon lottery, some GPUs might lock faster than others.

Can I manually modify LHR settings?
Yes. You can modify LHR settings via OCTune. Remember to set optimize the profile to Manual before. In the current release, only writing LHR settings is supported. Reading the LHR values from OCTune will be supported in next release.

Can I modify optimize profiles?
Yes. Read this article for more information. In the current release, some of the functionalities are missing and will be added in the next release.

What does LHR Unlock Ratio mean?
LHR Unlock ratio is a percentage of unlock. E.g. 72%. Expected values are from 60 to 80.

What does LHR Intensity mean?
LHR Intensity helps with the higher unlock ratio but can cause stability issues. Increasing intensity will allow higher hashrates. Lower intensity will increase the stability of the LHR Unlock. Expected values are from 30 to 50.

My GPU is locking frequently, what should I do?
Your GPU cannot run the LHR settings provided in our optimize profiles. Let us know what GPU you are using and what profile causes the issues. Then we suggest manually playing with LHR Unlock settings and setting overclocks via OCTune. Generally, LHR Unlock "70" and Intensity "34" should work on all GPUs.

The power consumption and core clock is fluctuating a lot, what is going on?
You probably used a classic overclocking method (setting delta values e.g. +500 memory). We recommend using alternative OC method via OCTune where you can lock the core clock. This will result stable core clock and power consumption.
