Completing the Repayment Program
On this site, we explain everything you need to know regarding the completion of the NiceHash Repayment Program and how to get fully reimbursed. You must enter the final stage of the Repayment program by December 15, 11:00 PM CET! Please read the following instructions carefully!
What is NiceHash Repayment Program?
NiceHash has created the Repayment program for NiceHash internal wallet users and external wallet users that were affected by the security breach that happened on December 6, 2017. The Repayment program started on Friday, February 2, 2018, and 82% of the old balance amount was already reimbursed to users that were impacted by the security breach and have joined the Repayment program. NiceHash will reimburse the rest of the remaining balance to users on Wednesday, December 16, 2020. If you want to get fully reimbursed, please carefully read the instructions below.
How to make sure you get fully reimbursed?
NiceHash Repayment Program has some differences for different users. Below are instructions if you are:
- Internal wallet user already in the Repayment Program
- Internal wallet user entering the Repayment Program for the first time
- External wallet user
Please read the correct instructions!
INSTRUCTIONS IF YOU ARE: Internal wallet user already in the Repayment Program
If you are an internal wallet user who is already in the Repayment Program you must do the following:
- Login to your NiceHash account.
- Navigate to your wallet.
- Click the “Repayment program” button.
- Click “Complete Repayment Program” and follow the instructions on the screen.
INSTRUCTIONS IF YOU ARE: Internal wallet user entering the Repayment Program for the first time
If you are an internal wallet user who has missed the chance to enter the Repayment program you must do the following:
- Login to your NiceHash account.
- Open a support ticket and request entrance to the Repayment program. The DEADLINE for this request is Friday, December 11, 2020!
- Once the support agent will enable the Repayment program for your account navigate to your wallet.
- Click the “Repayment program” button.
- Click “Complete Repayment Program” and follow the instructions on the screen.
NOTICE FOR RETURNING USERS: If you don’t have a NiceHash account on the new platform yet, you first have to reset your password. Use the same email address that you have used on the platform at the time of the security breach. After you complete this procedure, you may follow the steps written above.
INSTRUCTIONS IF YOU ARE: External wallet user
If you were an external wallet user at the time of the security breach you must do the following:
- Navigate to this page: Find Miner
- Enter your BTC wallet address that you have used for mining.
- Click the "Repayment program" button and follow the instructions on the screen.
PLEASE NOTE: Conditions for actual payment to external wallet addresses also apply to the Repayment program! Only when you reach 0.001 BTC you are eligible for payment. NiceHash is including your unpaid balance in this amount. For example, if your old balance (that is going to be reimbursed) is 0.0009 BTC, you still have to mine an additional 0.0001 BTC (shown as unpaid balance) to your external wallet address so you reach the payment threshold of 0.001 BTC in total. Once the combined balance shows 0.001 BTC, payment will be executed to your external wallet address.
NiceHash will only reimburse the funds to the addresses in use at the time of the security breach. NiceHash cannot repay to any other wallet address as we do not have a KYC process for external wallet users.
