Please be attentive to online scams impersonating NiceHash

NiceHash security

Dear NiceHash users,

We have been alerted to a number of particularly dangerous online scams targeting our users. These scams vary in content but, in most cases, users are directed to privately message someone, to open a phishing website and/or even asked to send cryptocurrency to an address. NiceHash is actively working on taking down these phishing websites and social media pages as well as removing any scam comments.

Please take the following precautions:
  • Make sure you have a strong password and 2FA.
  • Always check for our blue "Verified" badge on social media sites. This is the best way to distinguish our official page from a fraudulent one.
  • NiceHash will never ask you to transfer BTC or any crypto in return for a reward, and this is a clear sign that it is a scam.
  • Always check the full URL when visiting https://www.nicehash.com and if in doubt, instead of clicking the link, open a new browser tab and type in the website yourself.
  • If you have fallen victim to one of the phishing pages, please update your security settings.
  • You can check haveibeenpwned to see if you email has been in a data breach (if so, change it immediately).

Stay safe,
