Bitcoin 2023

Bitcoin 2023 was the largest Bitcoin event of the year and provided an exceptional platform for fostering a deeper understanding and increasing the adoption of cryptocurrency. Highlighting our presence, we showcased our innovative EasyMining product, simplifying crypto mining for all. The introduction of TeamMining, especially our special edition Team Miami, allowed attendees to experience the power of collaborative mining.

Our engaging booth, complete with a bright LED wall and live demonstrations, became a focal point. This event was not just a showcase of our products, but a testament to our commitment to advancing Bitcoin adoption and innovating in the crypto mining space.

Lugano’s Plan ₿

Lugano, a hub of innovation in Southern Switzerland, is actively integrating Bitcoin and blockchain technology into its financial ecosystem, resonating with NiceHash's mission of promoting Bitcoin.

The Plan ₿ conference highlighted local merchants' increasing embrace of cryptocurrency, aligning with NiceHash’s new service, NiceHash Pay, which facilitates Bitcoin transactions for merchants. Discussions also delved into sustainable energy in Bitcoin mining, showcasing real-world applications like the Swiss food product powered by solar energy and Bitcoin mining.

Hashrate Marketplace Growth

In 2023, both the SHA256ASICBOOST and Scrypto hashrate marketplaces experienced remarkable growth. Miners using our platform saw a significant increase in their earnings, with over directly mining Bitcoin, Litecoin and Dogecoin. This increase is a testament to the effectiveness of the NiceHash platform, providing miners with an advantageous alternative to traditional mining.

The available SHA256 hashrate at NiceHash grew from 1.07 EH/s at the beginning of the year to over 6 EH/s currently — a 560% increase!

Simultaneously, the Scrypt hashrate also witnessed significant growth, rising from 46.6 Th/s to 132.72 Th/s, which translates to a notable 280% increase.

Milestone in Lightning Transactions

This year also marked a significant milestone for NiceHash in Lightning Network (LN) transactions.

We recorded one of the largest LN transactions, with LN transactions now accounting for nearly one-third of all BTC transactions on our platform. This achievement highlights our unwavering support for the Lightning Network and its potential to revolutionize cryptocurrency transactions.

NiceX Exchange adds EURO trading

2023 was also the year of the successful addition of the BTC-EUR trading pair to the NiceHash platform through NiceX. This achievement marks a strategic expansion, offering European users seamless access to trade Bitcoin against the Euro, catering to the growing demand for diverse trading options. At NiceX and NiceHash we continue our commitment to providing a user-friendly experience and a comprehensive range of trading opportunities.

The addition of BTC-EUR pairs not only enhances the platform's versatility but also reflects NiceX's dedication to making it easier for miners to trade without having to switch to another platform.

Supporting Local Communities

Through Sponsorships & Donations Our commitment to community welfare and sports was evident in our sponsorship and support for local sports events, particularly in cycling in Maribor. In June, NiceHash partnered with the municipality of Maribor to bring the 26th Mbajk bicycle station, contributing to a sustainable future by reducing emissions, promoting health and raising crypto awareness one pedal stroke at a time!

Moreover, as the general sponsor of the Slovenian Cycling Federation, we're deeply involved in the cycling community, exemplified by our presentation of the Best Cyclist award to Tadej Pogačar, the world's top cyclist for the third consecutive year.

Additionally, our participation in Primož Roglič's charity auction, where we contributed EUR 10,000 for young sporting talents, underscores our commitment to social causes.
