New notification type for high rejected rate. Enable now!

We are happy to introduce a new type of notification that will warn users when a rig will have a high rejected shares ratio. Make sure to enable this type of notification and lower your response time when high rejects happen.

Email high reject rate NiceHash

Notification will be triggered if a rig has a 5% or more rejected share rate for more than 5 minutes.

How to enable high rejected rate notification in Rig Manager?

Follow these steps to enable high rejected rate notification in the rig manager:

  1. Open your account settings in the top-right corner
  2. On the left navigation bar navigate to Notifications
  3. Enable When high reject rate occurs on rig toggle

NiceHash notifications mining

This is it! If your rig will experience higher than 5% rejected shares for 5 minutes or more, you will receive an email and will be able to resolve the issue as soon as possible!

How many rejected shares should a worker have?

This depends on the rejected share type. There are 4 types of rejected shares:

  • Stale share - The share was submitted too late. Probably high latency between mining rig and NiceHash server.
  • Share above target - There is a problem with mining software. Most likely too high overclock settings.
  • Duplicated Share - Share was submitted more than once. Most likely an issue with the software.
  • Other - Any other type of other rejected shares means a bug in your mining software.

Idealistically, a worker (ASIC or mining rig), should have 0% rejected shares. But since we cannot completely eliminate the latency issues there is almost always a small percentage of stale rejected shares. Rejected shares should be below 1%.

There should be no share above target, duplicated or other rejected shares!
