NiceHash Miner is one of the best tools for best-profit easy-to-use mining. We started this project almost two years ago. NiceHash Miner v1 was initially released as a CPU-only mining software and was later upgraded with NVIDIA GPU mining and eventually also with AMD GPU mining. Because of its minimalistic and simplistic Graphical User Interface (GUI) and most notably because of its unique best-profit mining with automatic profit switching it hastily became the first choice for thousands of miners. NiceHash Miner v1 was based on integration of various 3rd party miners which also brought several issues for inexperienced miners - those 3rd party software products are flagged by anti-virus apps and they often tend to be rather unstable or need manual tuning. This is why we decided to move to the next step and we designed NiceHash Miner v2 with even easier GUI and most notably with our own in-house developed mining software product - the excavator. This allows us to control the full stack of the software development and provide easy-to-use, power efficient and fully trustful mining experience.

NiceHash Miner v2 is primarily intended for wide range of users and will gradually evolve to all-round product. Since we are dropping 3rd party miners from NiceHash Miner v2 we decided to also support a continuation of NiceHash Miner v1 - and this is how NiceHash Miner Legacy was born. NiceHash Miner Legacy is an official NiceHash Miner v1 fork, supported by NiceHash, but primary intended for experienced miners. It will hold all the available fastest 3rd party mining software and also allow advanced settings and advanced tuning. Therefore if you fell like an experienced miner you're welcomed to try the NiceHash Miner Legacy.
