Apply -dagrestart on PhoenixMiner to extend mining on 4GB cards

OUTDATED - 4GB cards are not capable of mining the DaggerHashimoto algorithm anymore.

PhoenixMiner’s recent release (5.0b) introduces command-line -dagrestart which helps you to mine on DaggerHashimoto (ETH) algorithm until the epoch 373.

To mine DaggerHashimto with your 4GB cards for longer, you need to enable this via Extra Launch Parameters in NiceHash Miner. You can read more about ELPs here.

To enable -dagrestart follow these steps:

  1. Make sure PhoenixMiner is installed via the Plugins tab
  2. Navigate to the Benchmark tab and locate the GPU you want to enable -dagrestart for
  3. Find PhoenixMiner from available miners (plugins) and select the gear option on the right side of the selected algorithm
  4. A side module will open, navigate to Extra Launch Parameters text box
  5. Type -dagrestart 2
  6. Enable Schedule for re-benchmarking option. This will enable this algorithm to be re-benchmarked next time you click start mining. We strongly recommend doing this, but it is not mandatory.
  7. Click outside of the module and repeat the process on all PhoenixMiner algorithms and devices.

Dagrestart will restart the miner when allocating the buffer for a new DAG epoch. The possible values are:

0 - never,

1 - always,

2 - auto.

(the miner decides depending on the driver version).
