Alephium algorithm changes - ASICs are now compatible with NiceHash!

Dear NiceHash miners!

We are excited to announce that ASIC machines are now compatible with the NiceHash Alephium stratum! This update means you can now connect your Alephium (Blake3) ASICs to NiceHash and start earning Bitcoin!

HOW TO CONNECT YOUR ASIC

What has changed?

Before this stratum update, ASIC miners were incompatible with NiceHash due to a limitation in the number of bytes that pools allocate in the extranonce when assigning jobs to their workers. All ASICs are hardcoded to accept only 2 bytes, while pools typically reserve 2 bytes for themselves, leaving no byte space in the extranonce for NiceHash.

With this update, we have adjusted the marketplace so that only pools that either ignore the extranonce value or take just 1 byte from the extranonce are compatible with NiceHash. This change ensures that your Alephium ASIC miners can now work seamlessly with NiceHash.

What does this mean for sellers (miners) of hashrate?

We have tested Goldshell and IceRiver Alephium ASICs, which are now fully compatible with NiceHash.

Except for the ASIC compatibility, everything has remained the same. You can connect your ASIC machine to the below stratum:

What does this mean for buyers of hashrate?

If you are a buyer of hashrate, it is crucial to select a compatible pool. As of now, only F2Pool and DXPool are fully compatible with this update. If you would like to see your preferred pool supported, we encourage you to contact the pool operator and request that they support NiceHash. More information about Alephium specifications on NiceHash can be found here.
